Job summary

Alstern Technologies Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design ACMV systems including chilled water, DX, ventilation and exhaust for building services projects.

You will perform cooling load calculations and equipment sizing, prepare AutoCAD/Revit drawings and specifications, and coordinate with consultants, architects and contractors through construction, commissioning and handover while ensuring BCA, SS and Green Mark compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimally 3 years of ACMV design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM and HAP experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of ACMV design standards, value engineering principles, and coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Design ACMV systems including chilled water, DX, ventilation, and exhaust.
• Perform cooling load calculations and equipment sizing (AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, fans, ducts, and piping).
• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, technical submissions, and specifications using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Carry out value engineering to optimize system performance, constructability, energy efficiency, and project costs without compromising quality or compliance.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, and other disciplines to resolve design issues.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and provide technical support during construction.
• Attend site inspections and support testing & commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with BCA, SS, ASHRAE, and Green Mark requirements.
