Job summary

Securitas Guarding Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a capable Accountant to manage invoicing, AR, and project accounting. You will prepare WIP, oversee costing, and coordinate monthly close activities while ensuring statutory compliance.

Ideal candidates have a diploma or degree in accountancy and at least 3 years of project accounting experience, with strong prioritization and communication skills. This is an on-site role in Singapore.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle invoicing and accounts receivable management including AR aging and statements.
• Prepare Final Statement Summary for project closing and attend monthly WIP meetings.
• Prepare weekly Sales & Orders reports for management.
• Project accounting duties: compute WIP, oversee project costing, and attend WIP meetings.
• Conduct direct labor cost reconciliation and labor utilization analysis.
• Maintain portfolio reporting and GST quarterly returns.
• Ensure statutory reporting compliance; liaise with auditors and tax agents.
• Perform month-end closing activities (FX revaluation, intercompany settlements, journal entries).
• Analyze financial results and prepare DSOs presentations; HRM reporting deadlines.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy before posting; coordinate with banks for guarantees.
• Assist in updating company policies and perform ad-hoc assignments.

Job description

The incumbent handles a full set of accounts and reports to the Finance Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for Invoicing and accounts receivable management, which consists of:

1. Preparation of Final Statement Summary for project closing

   • - Manage AR collections and follow up on customers’ invoice inquiries
   • Prepare AR Aging Report and send Statements of Account to Customers
   • Attend monthly cash calls and follow up on actions required

2. Preparation of Weekly Sales & Orders Reports to Management

3. Project Accounting: prepare the WIP, oversee project costing, and attend monthly WIP meetings.

4. Direct Labor Cost Reconciliation and labor utilization efficiency analysis

5. Maintenance Portfolio Reporting

6. Prepare GST return on a quarterly basis

7. Ensure compliance with local Statutory Reporting

8. Liaise with auditors and tax agent to support on corporate tax preparation

9. Month-end closing activities, i.e., FX Revaluation, Inter-Company Settlements, Journal Entries, etc.

10. Analyze the financial results and prepare the presentation on DSO

11. HRM reporting and ensure meeting the submission deadline

12. Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation on a monthly basis

13. Review vendor invoices and ensure data is accurate before posting into the system

14. Liaise with customers and bankers for bank guarantee applications

15. Any other ad-hoc assignments required

16. Assist in the update of company policies

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or equivalent

• With min 3 years of experience in project accounting or related field

• An ability to prioritize and manage expectations

• An ability to work independently

• The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other people within the company

• Experience with Hyperion a plus
