Job summary

Gan Teck Kar Investments Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an accounting professional to manage AR/AP, data entry, and month-end close. You will maintain accurate records, post transactions with correct codes, and reconcile balances with attention to detail.

Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software is essential. Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or at least 4 years of relevant experience if without a degree, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting with at least 2 years of experience.
• Or at least 4 years of relevant experience if without a diploma/degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and has used accounting software.
• Meticulous, performance-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of double entry accounting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable and other tasks.
• Enter accurate data into the accounting system and use accounting software.
• Assign correct account codes when posting transactions.
• File paper records related to transactions accurately.
• Reconcile customer and supplier balances.
• Prepare banking documentation and reports for management.
• Perform month-end closing activities.
• Retrieve system reports for management use.
• Assist Manager with ad-hoc duties as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for duties such as accounts receivable, accounts payable and other accounting tasks
• Enter accurate and timely data into the organization’s accounting system, must be used to processing and entering information into computerized accounting software
• Assign correct account codes to all transactions when posting
• Accurately file the paper records associated with any transaction
• Reconciliation of customer and supplier balances
• Compile relevant business documentation used in banking processes
• Perform month-end closing activities
• Retrieve system reports from the accounting system for management use
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience
• Or at least 4 years’ relevant experience if without Diploma/Degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and must have used accounting software
• Meticulous, performance-oriented, self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Candidates will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of double entry accounting
