Job summary

Fong Consult Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Executive to manage the full set of accounts, including GL, AR, AP and bank reconciliations, with accuracy and timeliness.

You will prepare monthly closings, GST returns, and assist with budgets, cash flows, audits, and project accounting. The role demands initiative, teamwork, and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GST and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.

Job description

An established Civil& Structural Engineering Consulting firm in Singapore requires the following position:

ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly closing, journal entries, accruals, prepayments and financial reports.

• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns, ensuring accuracy, timely submission and compliance with IRAS requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of project progress claims, including supporting documentation and follow-up.
• Monitor project accounts, including revenue, costs, profitability, work-in-progress and project financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Support project revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion (POC) calculations.
• Assist in year-end closing and audit preparation, including audit schedules and supporting documents.
• Liaise with external auditors and other relevant parties on accounting and audit matters.
• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and compliance with accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably handling full sets of accounts.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and GST requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice.
