Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Accountant/Financial Controller to oversee the full set of accounts for its Philippine subsidiaries and Singapore entity in the West region of Singapore.

The role emphasizes month-end closing, variance analysis, and cash flow management while ensuring compliance with group accounting policies. The incumbent will collaborate with local teams, external auditors, and tax consultants, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and regional projects as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing full sets of accounts, financial reporting and month-end closing.
• Proven ability to perform variance analysis and prepare key financial reports.
• Strong cash flow management skills and adherence to group accounting policies.
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior finance staff and working with external auditors.

Job description

Based in the West region, your primary responsibility will be managing the full set of accounts for our Philippine subsidiaries as well as handling our Singapore entity. You will play a pivotal role in month-end closing, variance analysis, cash flow management, and ensuring strict adherence to Group accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Manage the full cycle of accounting matters, with a primary focus on handling the full set of accounts for the Philippine subsidiaries and the Singapore entity.

• Review subsidiaries' monthly accounts, reporting packages, and tax filing documents to ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and tax filings.

• Perform variance analysis and prepare key management financial reports to support business decisions.

• Draft statutory financial statements accurately and in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

Regional Oversight & Compliance

• Provide guidance on complex accounting issues to local and regional subsidiaries, as well as mentor and guide internal team members as needed.

• Maintain and ensure strict compliance with accounting policies, guidelines, and internal control systems laid down by the Head Office.

• Liaise effectively with outsourced accountants, company secretaries, external auditors, and tax consultants for the subsidiaries.

Treasury, Forecasting & Budgeting

• Monitor cash flows and assess the capital requirements of the subsidiaries.

• Coordinate and support the Group forecasting and annual budgetary processes.

• Assist management in other ad-hoc financial matters and regional projects as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in managing full sets of accounts, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes.

Working Hours, Location & Benefits

• Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday (8:20 AM - 6:00 PM), Friday (8:20 AM - 5:30 PM)

• Location: West Region

• Transport: Company transport is provided (Pick-up/Drop-off at JEM - Jurong East MRT)
