Job summary

Aeon Earth in Singapore is seeking an Accountant to manage bookkeeping, financial statements, payroll, taxes, and audits. This role works independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

You will maintain records, process daily transactions, prepare month-end closing, handle CPF and GST submissions, and coordinate with internal and external parties including auditors and tax agents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience (Required).
• Experience working with multiple foreign currencies (Preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records including bank reconciliations and general ledgers.
• Record daily transactions in an accounting system as a team.
• Ensure timely month-end closing and financial reporting to management.
• Prepare payroll, CPF submission, GST submission, and payments.
• Prepare and close monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage AP/AR, GL, and intercompany processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties such as auditors and tax agents.

What is this role?

The Accountant works with many aspects of accounting, including bookkeeping, financial statements, payroll, taxes, and auditing. This role works independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

What you can expect to do?

• Maintaining accounting records such as bank reconciliations, general ledger accounts, and subsidiary ledgers
• Recording daily transactions in an accounting system, including purchases and sales transactions (as a team)
• Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
• Preparing and processing of payroll, CPF submission, GST submission, payments etc.
• Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements
• Responsible for accounting processes and tasks such as AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation etc.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intracompany activities
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirements, audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience (Required)
• Experience working with multiple foreign currencies (Preferred)
• Ability to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational, analytical, and time management skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great written and spoken English language skills for clear communication with management and external parties
• Understanding accounting best practices
• A basic understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) is nice to have
• High attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of Xero and Odoo (Preferred)
• Produce work with a high level of accuracy
