AMBITION GROUP SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to maintain full sets of accounts, manage month-end closings, and support the finance team in Singapore. The role requires GST filing knowledge, Chinese-language liaison, and strong MS Excel and NetSuite skills.

You will interact with auditors, tax agents and multiple stakeholders while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting and month-end experience.
• GST filing experience and ability to liaise with auditors.
• Ability to read Chinese for liaison with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Excel and NetSuite.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management.
• Good organisational and communication skills; collaborative.

My client is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with a solid grounding in accounting principles to keep our records accurate and support the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full sets of accounts for multiple entities (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, intercompany, month-end closing)
• Prepare and file GST returns, and support auditors during the annual audit
• Assist with cash flow monitoring, payment planning and payment processing against the approved budget
• Review invoices and quotations, and resolve discrepancies with vendors
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial schedules
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements
• Liaise with internal teams, auditors, tax agents, banks and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or a related field, with 5+ years of experience
• Combined audit and full-set accounting background, including month-end closing
• Familiar with GST filing and working with auditors
• Able to read Chinese to liaise with Chinese speaking stakeholders
• Proficient in MS Excel and NetSuite
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Good organisational and communication skills, and a collaborative team player
