Job Description
  • Media relations: You will build and nurture a robust network of journalists, analysts, and influencers. By crafting creative pitching strategies and managing media engagements—from briefings to roundtables—you’ll ensure our clients’ stories stand out and garner the attention they deserve. Your insights into the ever-changing press climate will be critical in driving continuous media exposure.
  • Content creation: Your knack for storytelling will be at the heart of our communications. You’ll curate and refine all content—from press releases and Q&A documents to bylines as well as support with the development of comprehensive strategic plans—in both English and/or Chinese. Consistency, clarity, and creativity will define the high-quality content that you and your team produce.
  • Market intelligence and reporting: Dive deep into market data to track performance and uncover trends that matter. By analyzing campaign results, monitoring competitive landscapes, and compiling insightful reports, you’ll provide actionable intelligence that informs strategy and shapes future communications initiatives.
  • Integrated marketing communications (IMC): You’ll harness your strategic thinking and approach to design and execute multi-channel communications that blend the best of traditional PR with innovative digital strategies. You’ll develop campaigns that integrate paid, owned, and earned media to ensure every message not only aligns with our clients’ business objectives but also makes a memorable impact in today’s tech-driven landscape.
  • Client relations: As the trusted advisor, you’ll serve as the primary liaison for our clients. You’ll offer strategic counsel that connects communications tactics to business goals, engaging with senior management and C-level executives to ensure every program is executed to perfection. Your ability to foster long-term relationships will be a cornerstone of our success.
  • Account management: You’ll lead day-to-day account operations with precision and creativity. From supporting to managing budgets and coordinating resources to overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, your hands-on approach ensures seamless execution and exceptional results. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll drive initiatives that elevate client satisfaction and agency profitability.
  • New business: Fuel our growth by bringing fresh ideas to the table. You’ll contribute to RFPs, pitch decks, and new business presentations, showcasing our expertise and innovative approach. Your creative input and strategic mindset will help secure new opportunities and expand our roster of dynamic tech clients.
  • Mentorship/training: At Hoffman, leadership is shared. Serve as a direct manager to junior staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback through one-on-one coaching and interactive sessions like “lunch bucket” presentations. Your commitment to talent development will empower the next generation of communicators, ensuring our team continues to thrive and innovate.

The Hero’s Background: Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, PR/Advertising, Marketing/Integrated Communications, Journalism, Linguistics or other relevant degrees
  • Have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (agency experience is preferred)
  • Have relevant experience in media relations, in client servicing and project management
  • Interested in working with technology-related portfolio, fintech, corporate
  • Demonstrate superior business communication skills in English. Additional language capabilities are a plus.
