Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Account Executive to support the company’s day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for full-set accounts, payment processing, reconciliations, GST submissions, audit support, inventory-related accounting matters, and preparation of financial reports for management.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full-set accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), general ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare, maintain and follow up on payment schedules, and provide daily and weekly updates to management.
- Process payments and ensure funds are accurately disbursed and credited to the relevant bank accounts.
- Prepare daily bank balance reports and update daily banking transactions.
- Perform daily credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare daily sales reports for the Director and Management.
- Prepare annual Fixed Asset Depreciation Reports and maintain relevant fixed asset records.
- Manage petty cash and process staff reimbursement claims.
- Prepare bank deposits for cash collections.
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns.
- Prepare yearly commission statements.
- Support monthly inventory stock-take activities, including disposal and write-off of assets and inventory.
- Assist with e-commerce payment reconciliation and related accounting matters.
- Review financial transactions and maintain proper accounting document control procedures.
- Liaise and coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Work closely with management to provide supporting documents and information required for audits.
- Liaise with banks, government authorities and other external parties on accounting, financial and costing matters.
- Maintain proper filing and organisation of accounting and financial documents.
- Perform other accounting, administrative and ad hoc duties assigned by the Director or Management.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or relevant professional qualifications such as LCCI / ACCA.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience handling full-set accounts is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliation and GST preparation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Well-organised, meticulous and detail-oriented.
- Able to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication and coordination skills when dealing with management, auditors, banks and external parties.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
