China Telecom Singapore Innovation Research Institute is seeking a Researcher in 5G/6G Communication Network Systems to advance next-generation architectures for Physical AI and embodied intelligent systems. The role focuses on research of architectures, protocols, and systems enabling intelligent networks across RAN, edge, and cloud resources.

You will work on action-aware network control, multimodal traffic modelling, resource allocation, and cross-layer optimization, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• PhD in CS/EE/CE/Communications Eng or closely related field.
• Strong research background in networks, mobility, resource management, edge systems, or optimization.
• Proven ability to formulate research problems and develop algorithms, protocols, or system architectures.
• Experience with experimental, simulation, or software-based evaluation of networking mechanisms.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or similar and demonstrated publication record.

Responsabilités

• Research network architectures, algorithms, protocols, and system mechanisms for intelligent networks.
• Investigate action-aware, task-aware control and multimodal traffic modelling.
• Explore edge computing, distributed and cross-layer optimization for RAN, edge, transport, and computing resources.
• Conduct experiments and simulations using network emulation/testbeds to validate concepts.
