Job summary

VIAVI Solutions is seeking a 6G Engineer to join our global advanced innovation center in Singapore. You will bridge theoretical innovation with real‑world implementation, prototyping next‑generation wireless systems and collaborating with product teams.

You will develop and test 6G concepts like massive MIMO, ISAC, and AI‑native RAN, using MATLAB, Python, and CUDA C++ for simulation and hardware‑informed evaluation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Strong foundation in wireless communication theory (OFDM, MIMO, beamforming, channel modeling, coding, and PHY/MAC design).
• Knowledge of channel modeling, ray-tracing techniques and AI/ML technologies.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or CUDA C++, and containers (Docker, Podman).
• Hands-on skills in prototyping on wireless communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to develop 6G technologies (massive MIMO, ISAC, AI-native radio).
• Prototype concepts on CPU and GPUs for collaboration and evaluation with customers.
• Develop simulation and emulation models (MATLAB, Python, C/C++) to assess PHY and system-level performance.
