Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Diploma-qualified Equipment and Medical Supplies Assistant in Singapore. The role involves disinfecting ventilators, coordinating with CSSD, and ensuring ready-to-use equipment while supporting RTs.

You will perform daily POCT QC, assist with maintenance coordination with BME, and maintain stocked consumables and properly labeled ventilator units across sites. Commitment until 12 March 2027 is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder required with healthcare orientation.
• Experience with infection control and store/stock management is preferred.
• Willingness to work under supervision and follow hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Disinfect ventilators and respiratory care equipment per infection control policies.
• Coordinate with CSSD for disinfection of reusable equipment.
• Maintain ready-to-use ventilators and perform pre-use tests.
• Provide clinical and technical support to Respiratory Therapists (RTs).
• Conduct daily quality control checks for POCT equipment and escalate issues.
• Coordinate with BME for preventive maintenance and service notices.
• Receive consumables and restock ventilator room promptly.
• Ensure POCT consumables and reagents are stocked across sites.
• Label and organize ventilator units for active/standby use.
• Assist senior TAs and BME with equipment movement.
• Follow 6S principles in storeroom and comply with audits.
• Track department assets and perform duties assigned by Head of Service.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Equipment and Consumable Management

• Disinfect all ventilators and respiratory care equipment according to hospital infection control policies.
• Prepare and coordinate with Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) for the disinfection of reusable equipment.
• Maintain an adequate number of ready-to-use ventilators. Perform and document necessary pre-use tests and setups according to the department’s guidelines.

Clinical and Technical Proficiency

• Provide clinical and technical support to all Respiratory Therapists (RTs) as required.
• Conduct daily quality control checks for Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) equipment. Escalate issues to Senior TA or RT as appropriate.

Equipment and Resource Management

• Coordinate with BME for preventive maintenance, repairs, product recalls, and service notices for isolated equipment.
• Receive consumables from suppliers and restock ventilator room in a timely manner.
• Ensure that Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) consumables and reagents are kept well-stocked across all POCT sites.
• Ensure all ventilator units are labelled and organized for active and standby use.
• Assist senior TAs and BME with equipment movement as needed.

Quality Assurance and Audits

• Follow 6S principles for consumable management in the storeroom.
• Comply with departmental and hospital audit standards, including infection control, equipment storage, and quality indicators.

Leadership and Administrative

• Help to physically track and sight department assets.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Service / Reporting Officer.
• Assist RTs in organizing department events.
