Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated lab technician to join its 2D materials research team. You will assist engineers in planning experiments, collecting data, and reporting results within established safety guidelines.

You will perform material characterization (SEM/EDX/Raman/ellipsometry) to evaluate film quality, and prepare substrates and consumables, supporting day‑to‑day lab operations. Adherence to EHS protocols, accurate documentation (run logs, SOPs), and collaboration on

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field.
• At least 1 year hands-on thin film deposition experience.
• Experience with 2D materials (e.g., WS2, WSe2, MoS2) desirable.
• Familiarity with characterization techniques (SEM, EDX, Raman, ellipsometry).
• Understanding of chemical safety and cleanroom protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting experiments (ALD/CVD) and data reporting.
• Characterize films and assess quality using SEM/EDX/Raman/ellipsometry.
• Prepare substrates, precursors, and support lab operations.
• Document run logs, SOPs, and prepare summaries for reviews.
• Adhere to EHS protocols and safe chemical handling.
• Support process optimization and 2D materials development initiatives.
