Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a laboratory technician with a background in materials science or a related field to assist engineers in planning and executing ALD/CVD experiments, collecting data, and reporting within safety guidelines.

You will perform material characterization using SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, and ellipsometry to assess film quality and uniformity, prepare substrates and consumables, support lab equipment, and document run logs and SOPs for technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in planning and executing experiments (e.g., ALD/CVD, post-processing, and related process development), including data collection, preliminary analysis, and reporting within established safety guidelines.
• Perform material characterization using techniques such as SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, and ellipsometry to evaluate film quality and uniformity.
• Prepare substrates, precursors, and consumables, and support day-to-day operation of process tools and lab equipment.
• Generate clear internal documentation including run logs, SOPs, and summaries for technical reviews and presentations.
• Strictly adhere to EHS protocols, including safe handling of chemicals and gases (e.g., chalcogen precursors), and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Contribute to process optimization, tool readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives in 2D materials development.
