Blangah Rise PrimarySchool is seeking a Science Laboratory Assistant to support teachers in Science and STEM lessons within the Science Labs and Discovery Rooms. The role involves preparing and replenishing materials, maintaining equipment, and assisting with practical tasks across all levels.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 2:30pm (30 hours per week), with no work on Saturdays, Sundays or gazetted public holidays.

Qualifikationen

• At least two years of relevant experience in Science/STEM support duties.
• Experience in handling science labs and STEM activities is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Support teachers during Science and STEM lessons in Science Labs and Discovery Rooms.
• Prepare and replenish materials and apparatus for Science experiments and STEM activities across all levels.
• Carry out stocktaking and maintenance of Science and STEM equipment, including robotics and engineering kits, apparatus, posters and experiment kits.
• Assist Science representatives with practical-task preparation and administration, including preparing and distributing teaching and learning resources.
• Support school environmental programmes through simple gardening, watering and weeding.
• Maintain the animals' corner, including feeding animals and cleaning rabbits' pens and other small-animal enclosures.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the HOD/Level Head Science and assist the Administration Manager with administrative work when required.

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31December 2027.

Option period: 1 January 2028 to 31December 2029, up to 24 months, subject to the school exercising its option.

Personnel to be deployed atthe following hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am to 2:30pm, inclusiveof a 30-minute lunch break (30 working hours per week).
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays andgazetted public holidays.
