Job summary

Rivervale Primary School in Singapore is seeking a Science Lab Assistant to help prepare apparatus and set up experiments, assisting teachers in laboratories or classrooms.

You will conduct stocktaking twice yearly, maintain a clean Science Laboratory, care for spices and herbs, hydroponics gardens and vertical garden corners, and support recess-time science activities and recycling programmes.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork, organisation and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency is preferred.
• Experience working in a school laboratory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apparatus and experiment setups and assist teachers with Science experiments in laboratories or classrooms.

• Maintain a clean, tidy Science Laboratory.
• Care for the spices and herbs, cactus and fernery, hydroponics and vertical-garden ScienceCorners.
• Assist with harvesting and transplanting in the hydroponics and vertical gardens.
• Support recess-time Science activities and the Thursday recess recycling programme.

Job position: Science Lab Assistant

Salary range: 1800-2300

Name of Authority: Rivervale PrimarySchool

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31December 2027.

Personnel to be deployed atthe following hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 1:30pm, inclusiveof a one-hour lunch break.
• Ad-hoc E2K Science duties and school-holidayservice may be required.
• Service not required on PSLE Oral, ListeningComprehension and marking days, Saturdays, Sundays or gazetted public holidays.

Requirements:
