Job summary

MAXHUNT RESOURCE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Science Laboratory Assistant for Blangah Rise Primary School. The role runs Jan 1, 2027 to Dec 31, 2027, with an option period from Jan 1, 2028 to Dec 31, 2029.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–2:30pm (30-hour week). Two years of relevant Science/STEM support experience is required. Responsibilities include assisting teachers, preparing materials, maintaining equipment and animal care, and supporting admin tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience in Science/STEM support duties.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers during Science and STEM lessons in labs and discovery rooms.
• Prepare and replenish materials and apparatus for experiments and activities across all levels.
• Carry out stocktaking and maintenance of equipment including robotics kits and posters.
• Assist science representatives with task preparation and distribution of teaching resources.
• Support environmental programmes through gardening, watering and weeding.
• Maintain animals’ corner, feed animals and clean enclosures.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the HOD/Level Head Science and assist with admin tasks.

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31December 2027.

Option period: 1 January 2028 to 31December 2029, up to 24 months, subject to the school exercising its option.

Personnel to be deployed atthe following hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am to 2:30pm, inclusiveof a 30-minute lunch break (30 working hours per week).
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays andgazetted public holidays.

Requirements:

• At least two years of relevant experience in theScience/STEM support duties described below.

Job Scopes:

• 1. Support teachersduring Science and STEM lessons in Science Labs and Discovery Rooms.
• 2. Prepare andreplenish materials and apparatus for Science experiments and STEM activitiesacross all levels.
• 3. Carry outstocktaking and maintenance of Science and STEM equipment, including roboticsand engineering kits, apparatus, posters and experiment kits.
• 4. Assist Sciencerepresentatives with practical-task preparation and administration, includingpreparing and distributing teaching and learning resources.
• 5. Support schoolenvironmental programmes through simple gardening, watering and weeding.
• 6. Maintain theanimals' corner, including feeding animals and cleaning rabbits' pens and othersmall-animal enclosures.
• 7. Carry out otherduties assigned by the HOD/Level Head Science and assist the AdministrationManager with administrative work when required.
