Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'N' Level or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and willing to learn new IT skills.
• Science laboratory management or resource support experience is preferred.
• Experience in a school environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare resources and materials for Science laboratory activities, enrichment programmes and competitions
• Set up and clean up materials and equipment before and after laboratory lessons
• Label and maintain records of Science teaching materials and laboratory apparatus
• Conduct stock checks and update stock and breakage records
• Maintain laboratory equipment, materials and specimens in good working condition
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of Science laboratories and storerooms
• Dispose of laboratory waste according to safety procedures
• Check laboratory safety devices and replenish first-aid supplies
• Record and report incidents to the Science HOD
• Perform filing and other duties assigned by the school

Operational Details

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays: 7:00am to 5:00pm
• Wednesdays and Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:30pm
• Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
• Working hours may be adjusted according to the school's operational requirements
