• Excellent documentation, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; manage priorities.

We are hiring an 12 Months Renewable Contract Engineering II, Manufacturing to be outsourced to our client from a reputable medical device manufacturing organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Design equipment, tools, fixtures and other components to improve manufacturing processes using technical design skills.
• Develop and conduct moderately complex experiments and tests to qualify and validate manufacturing processes.
• Write and execute testing protocols, analyse results, make recommendations and prepare technical reports.
• Develop training and documentation materials, including work instructions, to support production teams and ensure smooth knowledge transfer.
• Provide technical guidance on software coding and development.
• Assist in gathering validation data and implementing automation and process technology projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reduce and eliminate manufacturing risks and operational issues.
• Support equipment troubleshooting and manufacturing process improvements.
• Apply automation, robotics and AI-assisted technologies to improve manufacturing operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related scientific field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in Python, Power BI and other programming languages.
• Knowledge of C# programming will be an advantage.
• Experience with robotics foundation models, Vision Language Models (VLMs), Vision Language Action (VLA) models and Large Language Models (LLMs) for industrial applications will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 technologies, including robotic programming and AI-assisted programming.
• Strong knowledge of automated equipment troubleshooting and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and applicable FDA regulations will be advantageous.
• Experience with laboratory or industrial equipment is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project; CAD experience will be advantageous.
• Ability to apply AI tools in Microsoft Office workflows.
• Good understanding of statistical techniques and engineering principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and critical-thinking skills.
• Meticulous, with strict attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with vendors and project stakeholders.
• Must adhere to company policies, Environmental Health and Safety requirements and applicable workplace safety procedures.
• Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable and potentially convertible.
