Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 30 November 2027 (11 months), with an option to extend from 1 January 2028 to 30 November 2028.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break.
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break.
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
- During home-based learning days and school holidays, support the School Admin Team and/or School Operations Team as assigned.
Requirements:
The following qualifications, skills and experience are preferred:
- Ability to remain calm under pressure when handling challenging situations involving students and parents.
- Ability to engage positively with students under 16 and support their behavioural development, including those with disciplinary or social-emotional needs.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and conducting difficult conversations.
- Ability to conduct fact-finding, write reports and maintain confidential case records.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive and related applications.
- Familiarity with restorative practices and case management processes.
Job Scopes:
The Services required are set out as follows:
- Assist the discipline team with fact-finding and investigations into misconduct and bullying in accordance with school procedures; record findings and follow up on repeat misconduct.
- Address uniform and grooming issues, follow up with parents, and support discipline management during assigned hours.
- Provide pastoral guidance to students involved in disciplinary cases, build relationships with at-risk students, identify early warning signs, and support safety plans and well-being monitoring.
- Patrol school premises and nearby areas; supervise in-school suspension, detention, student guidance programmes, school activities, recess and redbox duties.
- Assist with reviewing school CCTV footage for investigations and case management.
- Support restorative conversations when appropriate and when the affected student is ready; assist with corrective counselling and follow-up alongside counsellors, SEN Officers, welfare officers and student development teams.
- Communicate with parents or guardians about school actions and follow-up, supporting their involvement in students' behavioural improvement.
- Attend relevant case meetings and coordinate, where required, with REACH teams and Social Service Agencies to support students with higher needs.
- Assist the Internal Assessment Committee with examination escort duties, and provide administrative and technical support during assigned shifts.
- Support school administrative and operational duties on home-based learning days and during school holidays.
