Responsibilities

• Assist with basic injury-management activities under supervision.
• Prepare, clean and maintain physiotherapy equipment and supplies.
• Support the application of approved treatment and recovery procedures.
• Monitor athletes and report concerns to the supervising Physiotherapist.
• Assist during sporting events, training sessions and competitions.
• Maintain accurate administrative, treatment and attendance records.
• Help ensure treatment areas remain clean, organised and safe.
• Communicate professionally with athletes, coaches and stakeholders.
• Perform other physiotherapy-support duties as assigned.

We are seeking a responsible and suitably qualified Assistant Physiotherapist to support physiotherapists and athletes during training sessions, sporting events and competition seasons.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physiotherapists in preparing treatment and rehabilitation areas.
• Support athletes during rehabilitation, recovery and mobility exercises.
• Assist with basic injury-management activities under the Physiotherapist’s supervision.
• Prepare, clean and maintain physiotherapy equipment and supplies.
• Support the application of approved treatment and recovery procedures.
• Monitor athletes and promptly report concerns to the supervising Physiotherapist.
• Assist during sporting events, training sessions and competitions.
• Maintain accurate administrative, treatment and attendance records.
• Help ensure that treatment areas remain clean, organised and safe.
• Communicate professionally with athletes, coaches and relevant stakeholders.
• Perform other physiotherapy-support duties assigned by the supervising Physiotherapist.

Requirements

• Diploma in Sports Science, Physiotherapy Support or another relevant qualification.
• Relevant experience in physiotherapy assistance, sports support or rehabilitation is preferred.
• Experience supporting sporting events or competition activities is an advantage.
• Must possess valid Standard First Aid and AED certifications.
• Certificates must remain valid throughout the service period.
