A renewable energy firm in Stockholm seeks a Senior Director/Senior Advisor in Hydropower to drive commercial growth. The role demands extensive experience in business development and strategic partnerships within the hydropower sector. Candidates should have strong leadership and communication skills, with a passion for renewable energy innovation and sustainability.
At SeaPattern, we’re enabling the transition to renewable energy by unlocking the full potential of hydropower. Our modular, floating hydrokinetic turbines are placed in an optimized microgrid, increasing the energy output of existing hydropower plants without new infrastructure or environmental harm. The system is scalable, affordable, and non-invasive. Our technology also delivers sustainable power in remote areas and mission-critical energy solutions for disaster relief and defense. Founded by scientists, engineers, and innovators, we’re now entering an exciting new phase—bringing our breakthrough technology to market. We are looking to expand our team with brilliant minds who want to develop our technology and join our mission, and are now looking for a Senior Director or Senior Advisor Hydropower.
In this role, either as a senior advisor or employee, you will be a strategic architect and driving force behind our global commercial growth. Leveraging deep expertise and extensive network in hydropower, you will shape market entry strategies and open doors to customers to secure transformative partnerships in Sweden and across global markets.
You will be a cornerstone of our commercial expansion roadmap—navigating complex regulatory landscapes, cultivating senior-level relationships with hydropower operators and energy stakeholders, and closing high-value, long-term contracts. You will work in close collaboration with the C-suite to define and execute our growth strategy, ensuring our position as a leading force in sustainable hydropower solutions.
This is a role for someone with a deep experience and extensive senior network within the Hydropower sector in Nordics and Europe. You are commercially astute, results-oriented leader/advisory who can operate at both strategic and executional levels: opening markets, influencing policy environments, building high-trust relationships, and delivering measurable growth in a competitive, highly regulated sector.
Own it and make it happen: We take ownership, act proactively, and turn opportunities and ideas into reality.
Passion drives us: We act with curiosity, commitment, and a mindset to continuously improve our way of working and make things better.
We are knowledge seekers: We are always exploring, questioning, and pushing the limits of what we know. We actively ask questions, share knowledge, and push boundaries. Curiosity fuels our progress, and learning is at the heart of everything we do.
We’re reviewing applications continuously, so don’t wait to apply. This role could be arranged in an advisory role or part/full-time position based at SeaPattern’s office in Stockholm, Sweden. A valid EU and Sweden work permit is required. At SeaPattern, we celebrate diversity and welcome talent from all backgrounds.
