Job summary

MAX IV laboratory in Lund invites a skilled technician to join the vacuum team. You will provide support for the accelerators and beamlines, perform installations, testing, and maintenance of vacuum systems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, stock management, documentation, and training colleagues. A technical education in mechanics/electronics/vacuum and English proficiency are required. The role is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Technical education in mechanics, electronics, vacuum or related fields.
• Experience with technical or laboratory equipment.
• Proficient English.
• Initiative, flexible, team-oriented and quality conscious.

Responsibilities

• Provide vacuum tech support for accelerators and beamlines.
• Install and test vacuum equipment.
• Perform cleaning, pumping down, leak tests and bakeout.
• Troubleshoot vacuum issues with the team.
• Maintain stock and order vacuum hardware.
• Assist with training MAX IV employees.
• Document technical reports and keep documentation up to date.
