Job summary

Polestar seeks a User Insights Leader to drive and structure complex Product UX initiatives, balancing customer needs with business goals. You will lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, Design, Engineering, and external partners to shape intuitive, data-informed experiences.

You will define UX requirements, establish evaluation methodologies, and translate customer insights into product improvements, influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, User Experience or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading complex cross-functional projects within product development.
• Strong expertise in UX principles, user journey mapping, interaction design methodologies, and customer-centric product development.
• Experience developing evaluation frameworks, benchmarking methodologies, and translating customer insights into actionable product improvements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence decisions across a broad range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and structure complex Product User Experience initiatives, defining user journeys and interaction principles.
• Act as a cross-functional project lead, collaborating with Product, Design, Engineering, Customer Experience, Procurement, and external partners.
• Define and maintain UX requirements at system, hardware, and software levels while co-creating UX solutions across product development teams.
• Establish and manage UX evaluation methodologies, including usability assessments, customer satisfaction measurements, benchmarking, and comparative scoreboards.
• Drive data-informed UX development by coordinating user research activities and leveraging customer insights.
