Job summary

Sambla Group in Sweden is seeking a detail-oriented treasury and regulatory reporting specialist to pull data, build models and produce liquidity and capital metrics. You will analyze what the numbers show and ensure regulatory reporting is correct and traceable.

Reporting to the CFO, you will refine analyses with senior colleagues, ensure timely submissions, comply with ALCO limits and maintain robust audit trails as the function evolves into ALM and capital adequacy areas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in treasury, regulatory reporting or related fields.
• Strong Excel skills with large data sets and model-building abilities.
• Fluent Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Liquidity, the buffer and LCR: cash positions and flows, analysing how much we need to hold and purchase to keep the buffer where it should be, and the LCR calculation and what moves it.
• Deposits and funding: volumes, rates, funding cost and concentration.
• Models and forecasts: building and maintaining the capital and liquidity models, calculations and forecasts the function depends on.
• Key metrics and risk indicators: tracking them against established limits and raising the flag early when something moves.
• Regulatory reporting: producing the data behind our other regulatory reporting on a monthly and quarterly cycle, assuring its quality, and checking that what comes out of it is right.
• Controls, reconciliations and audit trail: reconciliation against source systems, documented approval, and a traceable record of how each figure was produced.
• Where the role goes from there: growth into ALM and balance sheet structure, capital adequacy and RWA, ICLAAP, stress testing and Pillar 3 disclosures.

About the role

The role sits at the intersection of treasury and regulatory reporting, and the work is practical. You pull the data, build the models and produce the numbers: liquidity and funding metrics, the LCR calculation, the buffer analysis and the data behind our capital reporting. You also analyse what the numbers show and what drives them.

The material you produce is refined together with senior colleagues, where your analysis forms the basis for the strategic conclusions. A central part of the role is making sure the regulatory reporting is correct: that the underlying data is right, that reporting is submitted on time, and that every figure can be traced and explained. You also follow the liquidity limits set by ALCO and the board.

You report to and work closely with the CFO of the business area, who is operationally involved in the function day to day.

  Where the role goes from there

  At a pace that follows your development, the role broadens into ALM and balance sheet structure, capital adequacy and RWA, the internal capital and liquidity adequacy assessment (ICLAAP), recovery planning, stress testing and Pillar 3 disclosures. The role suits someone who wants to build depth in capital adequacy and liquidity regulation applied to a balance sheet.

Who you are

You are analytical and precise, and you take care that the figures you produce hold up. You are curious about regulation and want to understand how a rule turns into a number on a balance sheet, and you can explain a regulatory question to someone who does not work with it day to day. You work independently, you are unpretentious, and you are comfortable in an environment that is still taking shape, processes and templates are being built as we go, and you will help shape them.

What you bring

• At least 3 years of experience in treasury, regulatory reporting, capital adequacy, ALM, funding, bank controlling or financial steering, from a bank or credit institution, audit, advisory or another regulated environment. You are early in your career and you want to take on more as you go.

• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large, complex data sets. You enjoy extracting and structuring data, building a model from scratch, and working out what it is telling you.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.

• Fluent Swedish and English, written and spoken. Much of the regulatory material work is in Swedish.
  Nice to have

• Exposure to CRR/CRD or LCR calculation.

• Experience with COREP or Pillar 3 reporting.

• Exposure to ICLAAP, recovery planning or stress testing.

• Power BI or a comparable reporting and visualisation tool.

• An understanding of how accounting data becomes regulatory reporting.
