Job summary

Infosys in Gothenburg, Sweden is seeking a Lead Consultant – Test Engineer for Trucks, Software Defined Vehicle. The role centers on defining verification strategies and validation frameworks across virtual, rig, lab, vehicle, and field testing to assure quality, safety, and performance.

The candidate will bring deep expertise in SDV verification, HIL/SIL/MIL, test automation, and embedded software, with a proven record mentoring engineers and elevating testing standards across global teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Verification & Validation, Vehicle Testing, Software Testing, and Software Integration.
• Expertise in virtual validation, HIL/SIL/MIL, and test automation for SDV features.
• Strong knowledge of ASPICE ADAS, connectivity, and embedded software.
• Proven ability to manage tests, analyze data, and report engineering results.

Responsibilities

• Define verification criteria, test requirements, and validation strategies for vehicle features and field tests.
• Develop test plans and lead preparation, execution, analysis, and reporting.
• Identify verification needs and ensure coverage across system, software, and vehicle levels.
• Define field test strategies for electrification, automated driving, connected services, and AI-based functions.
• Analyze test results, provide recommendations, and drive resolution of defects.
• Prepare Engineering Reports (ERs) and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve test methods, standards, and technical requirements.
• Serve as the technical authority for test methods, test codes, and validation processes.
• Mentor engineers and drive testing excellence across global teams.

Role Overview

The Test Engineer is responsible for defining verification strategies, test methods, and validation frameworks for vehicle features, functions, and field testing activities. The role ensures product quality, performance, safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction through virtual, rig, laboratory, vehicle, and field-based verification. The individual acts as a recognized technical expert and thought leader, driving innovation in testing methodologies and supporting Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define verification criteria, test requirements, and validation strategies for vehicle features, functions, and field tests.


• Develop test plans and lead test preparation, execution, analysis, and reporting activities.


• Identify verification needs and ensure coverage across system, software, and vehicle levels.


• Define field test strategies for emerging technologies including electrification, automated driving, connected services, and AI-based functions.


• Analyze test results, provide recommendations, and drive resolution of defects and fault reports.

• Experience with test management, defect management, data analysis, and engineering reporting.
