Job summary

GlobalLogic in Gothenburg, Sweden seeks a System Test Engineer for an automotive project focusing on quality, performance and reliability throughout the development lifecycle. You will design, implement and execute comprehensive tests, turning vague requirements into scalable automated solutions using Python, CAPL and C#.

The role involves test execution, defect management, and maintaining test scripts, with a strong emphasis on automotive solutions for Tier 1s and OEMs.

Qualifications

Due to intensive growth, GlobalLogic Automotive department is glad to invite System Test Engineer to an Automotive project.
The project aim is to optimize, extend with new features Automotive Solution. Our clients are Tier 1s and OEMs from Europe and USA and development is targeted to Automotive Solution what will be deployed in newest European cars. The project is considered as technical excellence and we are paying huge attention to technical challenge motivation of our team members as well as excellence compensation.
At our project we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture – key for enabling innovation within areas such as advanced connectivity, machine learning and autonomous drive.

Requirements

The System Test Engineer / Developer role focused on ensuring product quality, performance, and reliability through the entire development lifecycle. This role involves designing and implementing comprehensive and executing rigorous functional tests. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background, capable of working with vague requirements and transforming manual test cases into scalable, automated solutions.

Job responsibilities

• Test Execution and Defect Management
• Execute a variety of tests, including functional, exploratory, regression (diagnostics, communication, etc.).
• Analyze test results, document a summary report, and identify the root cause of failures, differentiating between product defects and environment issues.
• Create and manage detailed fault reports and bug tickets for identified product defects.
• Take responsibility for the proper operation and maintenance of complex test setups.
• Prepare test objects (e.g. vehicles) by ensuring correct hardware and software baselines are installed and configured.
• Perform necessary hardware upgrades and technical maintenance in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the testing environment (e.g., invalid HW/SW versions) and implement countermeasures.
• Maintain automated/manual test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage, particularly for repetitive and complex test cases.
• Utilize and interpret data from logs generated by automation environments (e.g., using Pythonand/or CAPL and/or C#).
• Test Setup Maintenance (Physical/Hardware Focus)
• Swedish Driving license is a must
• Nice to have T1 or T2 driving license
