The role
We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our team and support the development, verification, and validation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) functions. In this role, you will be part of a Safe Vehicle Automation environment, working with advanced safety and vehicle automation technologies that utilize radar, camera, ultrasonic, and lidar sensors to build a comprehensive understanding of the vehicle’s surroundings.
You will contribute to the design support, verification, and validation of ADAS functions through both vehicle-based and virtual testing, while also helping to develop test automation capabilities and verification methods for future mobility solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle and virtual testing of ADAS and Autonomous Driving functions.
- Support the design, verification, and validation of ADAS customer functions.
- Collaborate with function design engineers and test teams to deliver high-quality ADAS solutions.
- Develop and maintain test automation capabilities for ADAS verification activities.
- Contribute to the development of system and function testing methods.
- Support software integration, verification, fault tracing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
- Support verification planning, prioritization, and coordination of testing activities.
- Drive verification-related objectives and contribute to test automation initiatives.
- Contribute to CI/CD and software factory-related verification activities.
- Support continuous improvements of test methods, tools, and automation frameworks.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation & Control, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in ADAS/AD system design, verification, validation, or testing.
- Strong understanding of ADAS functions, system design, and user experience concepts.
- Experience with Functional Safety concepts and ISO 26262.
- Experience interpreting legal, regulatory, rating, and grading requirements and translating them into verification strategies.
- Experience working with external suppliers and understanding delivery plans and verification reports.
- Experience with HIL-based testing and test automation development.
- Experience working with SIL-based automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Python scripting and OpenSCENARIO.
- Knowledge of ESMini or similar simulation tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software development environments.
- Experience in customer function and system verification of ADAS functionalities is considered advantageous.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
