Job summary

Tata Technologies in Gothenburg, Sweden is hiring a Technical Writer to strengthen our aftermarket team. You will develop and maintain operation, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting manuals for BESS products, translating complex systems into clear content in collaboration with engineering and service teams.

The role requires strong English writing, cross-team collaboration, and experience with technical authoring tools.

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain technical manuals, installation and commissioning guides.
• Translate complex hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems into clear, compliant content with engineers and service teams.
• Manage end-to-end documentation lifecycle for global markets.
• Ensure materials meet industry safety standards, ISO requirements, and brand guidelines.
• Strong English writing; Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain operation manuals, maintenance/service manuals, installation and commissioning manuals, and troubleshooting materials for new product launches.
• Translate complex hydraulic, electrical & mechanical systems into easy-to-understand, compliant content by collaborating with engineering, aftermarket, service market and other stakeholders.
• Manage end-to-end documentation lifecycle: research, draft, review, edit, illustrate, and publish content for global markets
• Ensure all technical materials meet industry safety standards, ISO requirements, and internal brand guidelines for consistency and professionalism
• Use technical authoring tools (such as Composer, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, CAD software, WebBase and content management systems) to create structured, scalable, and visually clear documentation
• Deliver reliable, actionable technical content that improves safety, efficiency, and product uptime
• Perform document version control.
• Perform other tasks as directed by manager.
• Engineering background master or bachelor degree, experience in BESS engineering is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge integration ability, quick leaner of engineering document, including mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems of construction equipment.
• Excellent English writing and editing skills with precise, clear technical language.
• Professional communication skills in English language (Swedish language is a plus)
• Strong cross-team communication and project delivery ability
• Experience with WebBase is a strong plus
• Experience with BESS is a plus

The role

The aftermarket team is growing and has a need for an experienced technical writer (Product Information Writer Professional). Aftermarket technology (AMT) team focus on the business-critical aftermarket as part of technology function. They create industry-leading aftermarket technical solutions to secure Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) uptime and cohesive customer experience. They own aftermarket solutions for both new BESS launch and end to end BESS lifetime.
