Job summary

Ultra Group AB is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Stockholm team. You will bridge development and operations, driving CI/CD, automation, and reliable environments for major IT projects in a public-sector context.

The role covers infrastructure automation, system configuration, platform upgrades, certificate management and lifecycle control across Linux and Windows systems, with a strong focus on security and observability.

Qualifications

• Proven DevOps experience in a major IT environment.
• Strong CI/CD and configuration management skills.
• Extensive Linux and Windows administration experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Stockholm at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

DEVOPS ENGINEER – STOCKHOLM

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Start: As soon as possible, subject to successful security clearance

Seniority: Expert – Level 4

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer for a major public-sector IT environment responsible for critical systems.

You will act as a bridge between development and operations, collaborating with system and train architects, development teams, and operations specialists to analyse existing environments, recommend improvements, and establish reliable development, test and production environments.

The role involves infrastructure automation, system configuration, deployments, platform upgrades, certificate renewals and lifecycle management across Linux- and Windows-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain and improve build environments and CI/CD pipelines
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments
• Analyse existing IT environments and establish missing structures
• Manage platform upgrades, certificates and system configurations
• Work with development, test and production environments
• Improve observability, system reliability and operational consistency
• Align systems and infrastructure with the wider IT architecture
• Collaborate effectively within an agile SAFe/DevOps environment

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a comparable role
• At least 2 years of experience with build environments and CI/CD
• At least 2 years of experience with configuration management
• At least 2 years of experience working in Linux environments
• At least 1 year of experience working in Windows environments
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Stockholm at least 3 days per week
• Strong collaboration, communication and organisational skills
• A security-conscious and responsible approach to handling sensitive information
