Job summary

KPIT Technologies Ltd. is seeking a System Designer for Autonomous Driving with 6–9 years of experience. You will design system-level solutions for automotive functions, drive software function development, and coordinate with software, hardware, verification, and product teams.

The role requires strong communication, architecture definition, and a hands-on approach to system design in a fast-paced development environment. Travel and licensing requirements may apply.

Job/Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop system-level solutions for automotive functions, ensuring alignment with product and platform requirements
• Drive and support software function development, from concept definition through implementation and validation
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, verification, and product stakeholders
• Define system requirements, interfaces, and architecture
• Ensure traceability and consistency across system requirements and design
• Support integration and troubleshooting activities across vehicle systems
• Experience in software function development, preferably in the automotive domain
• Hands‑on experience with CarWeaver or similar system engineering tools
• Solid understanding of automotive system architecture, signals, and interfaces
• Experience working in a complex stakeholder environment, requiring strong coordination and alignment skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align diverse teams
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
• Ability to manage complexity and work effectively in a fast‑paced development environment
• Structured and detail‑oriented approach to system design
• Driving license B

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and/or cybersecurity
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies within automotive
