Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Architect to join a high-performing automotive engineering team. You will shape the architecture of advanced electronic systems, collaborating with system engineers, software developers, and cybersecurity specialists to deliver robust vehicle functions.

You will influence product lifecycles from concept to industrialization, leading cross-functional technical activities and ensuring alignment with safety and cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 10 years of experience in embedded software and system development.
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with C/C++ and/or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in real-time embedded system development.
  • Strong experience in system design and software architecture for AUTOSAR-based systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive diagnostics protocols such as UDS.
  • Experience with CAN and/or Ethernet.
  • Good understanding of functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
  • Familiarity with automotive cybersecurity principles and standards.
  • Experience with requirements engineering and traceability tools.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical activities and drive complex engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the systemization and architectural design of embedded software solutions.
  • Drive the development of system, functional, and software architectures for automotive platforms.
  • Translate customer and functional requirements into detailed system and software requirements.
  • Manage requirements in compliance with automotive safety and cybersecurity standards.
  • Initiate and facilitate early-phase engineering activities such as FMEA, HARA, TARA.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration and delivery.
  • Support software development, verification, debugging, and fault-tracing during industrialization.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and continuous product improvement initiatives.
  • Lead technical discussions and coordinate architectural decisions across disciplines.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Architect to join a high-performing engineering team developing advanced automotive electronic systems and software platforms. In this role, you will work closely with system engineers, software developers, safety and cybersecurity specialists, architects, and test engineers to deliver innovative and robust solutions for next-generation vehicle functions.You will play a key role throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development and system design to software integration and industrialization.

SKILLS
Must have
  • Approximately 10 years of experience in embedded software and system/function development.Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with C/C++ and/or MATLAB/Simulink.Minimum 5 years of experience in real-time embedded system development.Strong experience in system design and software architecture for AUTOSAR-based systems.Knowledge of automotive diagnostics protocols such as UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services).Experience with automotive communication technologies, including CAN and/or Ethernet.Good understanding of functional safety standards (ISO 26262).Familiarity with automotive cybersecurity principles and standards.Experience with requirements engineering and traceability tools.Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical activities and drive complex engineering tasks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and ability to work in international and multicultural environments.Hands-on automotive industry experience is highly desirable.

Nice to have

Experience within vehicle dynamics, chassis systems, or related automotive domains.Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.Experience with Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer.Experience with HIL environments and real-time simulation platforms.Contributions to open-source projects, technical communities, or personal engineering projects.
