Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Project Execution organization in the Pulp & Energy Business Unit. You will support process engineering activities for Recovery and Fibre Line technologies, and power boiler solutions, collaborating with multiple disciplines across sales, delivery, and development projects.

The role can be based in Gothenburg or Sundsvall. You will work with Lead Process Engineers, develop P&ID documentation, specify piping, and support equipment dimensioning,

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, preferably chemical or thermal.
• Experience in a similar engineering role within industry.
• Familiar with COMOS, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator or comparable P&ID tools.
• Strong communication skills and a systematic approach to problem solving.
• Professional proficiency in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain P&ID documentation and process lists in COMOS for projects.
• Specify piping requirements and perform pipe dimensioning.
• Collaborate with piping, automation and electrical teams by providing process data.
• Support equipment dimensioning and contribute process expertise throughout project execution.
• Partner with sales and commissioning teams by creating process flow diagrams and providing technical support for customer projects.
