Qualifications

  • University-level degree in pulping, chemical engineering, automation or similar.
  • Experience in pulp mill operations or development (preferably 10+ years).
  • Familiar with distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Wedge).
  • Lean and Six Sigma tools; Green/Black belt an advantage.
  • Experience with simulation systems (WinGEMS) and process control.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support development projects and process optimization with pulp mills.
  • Collaborate with mills on fiberline processes and operations.
  • Troubleshooting, value creation projects, new process development and design.
  • Process control design and tuning; training, commissioning and start-up work.
