Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Sustainability Lead to drive strategic and operational sustainability initiatives at our Västerås site. You will lead the QEHS sustainability program, report to the Sweden QEHS Director, and coordinate across functions to advance our sustainability targets and compliance.

On-site role with international collaboration. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of leadership in industrial sustainability, strong CSRD/ESRS knowledge, and excellent Swedish/English

Welcome to our department for Quality , Environment, Health and Safety (QEHS).

About the role:

As Sustainability Lead you will have both strategic and operational responsibilities with focus on sustainability targets, reporting, compliance and improvement. You will lead our sustainability steering committee and be responsible for coordinating, monitor, and developing our sustainability work.

You will report to the Director QEHS Sweden and you will work onsite at Bränslegatan, Västerås.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies and projects.
• Monitor and report on sustainability performance.
• Collaborate across the organization to integreate sustainability principles into our business
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements

Qualifications:

• A university degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, social sciences or another relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience leading and developing sustainability work in an industrial or technically complex organization.
• Knowledge of sustainability legislation, standards and reporting requirements, such as CSRD, ESRS, the GHG Protocol or similar frameworks.
• Ability to create engagement and influence different parts of the organization without formal personnel responsibility.
• Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to management, authorities and other stakeholders.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.

Security clearance is carried out as part of the recruitment process.

This role belongs to the union agreement Teknikavtalet.
