Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Control Systems Engineer in Västerås, Sweden. The role focuses on design and upgrade of control systems within a hybrid work model, reporting to the Director of Advanced Operations and Controls Engineering.

You will work on feasibility studies, construction, risk analyses, documentation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and training across multiple projects with a global team.

Qualifications

• Higher technical education with electrical, engineering physics, computer or energy specialization.
• Work experience in industrial automation projects, especially in process industries.
• 3+ years of experience with industrial control systems (ABB AC160, ABB 800xA, Siemens PCS 7, ABB AC400/AMPL).
• Education in control engineering or practical experience with control systems.

As a Control Systems Engineer, your main responsibility is the design of control systems. You will report to the Director of Advanced Operations and Controls Engineering and be located in Västerås, Sweden. Model of work: hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and upgrade control equipment in existing control systems.
• Analyze existing control systems and adapt technical solutions.
• Conceptual solutions, requirements development and investigations.
• Work often takes place in project form; this includes all project phases from feasibility studies, construction, risk analysis, documentation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and training.

Qualifications

• Higher technical education with a relevant specialization such as electrical engineering, engineering physics, computer or energy engineering.
• Work experience in industrial automation projects, particularly in the process industry.
• 3+ years of experience with industrial control systems such as ABB AC160, ABB 800xA, Siemens PCS 7 and ABB AC400 series (AMPL).
• Education in control engineering or experience working with control systems.
