Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment seeks a proactive Supplier Development professional to strengthen European supplier relations and drive purchasing strategies. You will lead APQP/PPAP activities for key projects and coach teams toward cost-to-quality improvements while promoting sustainability and productivity.

The role requires an engineering degree and experience in quality/production, with Lean knowledge and strong English plus local language skills. Hybrid work is expected.

Qualifications

University degree in engineering or similar.
Experience from quality/production area.
Knowledge in supply chain management and Lean manufacturing.
Educational or practical experience within sheet metal / plastics processes preferable.
Good communication skills in English + local language.

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with suppliers to create mutual benefits.
Evaluate and select suppliers and lead APQP/PPAP for projects.
Develop and execute Purchasing strategies aligning with goals.
Educate on cost to quality requirements and foster sustainability programs.
Drive VPS/Lean initiatives and continuous improvement actions across teams.
