Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment is seeking a proactive professional to drive supplier development and cross-functional collaboration within Europe. You will shape purchasing strategies, lead APQP/PPAP activities, and mentor teams to meet cost, quality and sustainability targets.

You will work with a diverse supplier base, ensure alignment with Volvo’s Lean and VPS programs, and collaborate across global teams. Location flexibility is offered across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or similar.
• Experience from quality/production area.
• Knowledge in supply chain management and Lean manufacturing.
• English + local language communication skills.
• Educational or practical experience within sheet metal / plastics processes preferable

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with our suppliers that create benefits for both parties.
• Involved in evaluation and selection of suppliers, and the driver of APQP/PPAP activities for selected projects working close to our Technology organization.
• Creation and execution of Purchasing strategies, encouraging our suppliers for development and increase innovation.
• Educate and mentor activities from cost to quality requirements.
• Steer sustainability supply chain management programs and drive productivity improvement such as VPS/Lean and guide continuous improvement actions.
