Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to contribute to the design and performance of process machinery, pressure vessels, and industrial equipment in Sweden. You will perform FE analyses, develop models in ANSYS, and work with design engineers to optimize strength, manufacturability, reliability and cost.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering and 3+ years in industrial structural analysis, with proficiency in ANSYS and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 3+ years of industrial structural analysis experience.
• Experience with pressure vessels and code-based design.
• Proficient in ANSYS; knowledge of Abaqus or Nastran is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform static, dynamic, fatigue and fracture analyses using ANSYS.
• Develop and validate FE models for machines and equipment, evaluate results and document conclusions.
• Dimension and improve components with design engineers considering strength, manufacturability, reliability and cost.
• Carry out analytical and code-based design calculations for pressure vessels and other structures.
• Check FE results and participate in design reviews.
• Support material selection and investigate structural problems; may perform measurements.
