Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and global merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, we solve the most strategic problems for our clients.

The Nordics and Baltics (N&B) Consulting Practice within VCA provides consulting and solution services for issuers, acquirers, ecosystem entities and merchants in the region. We apply our deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities drive growth and improve profitability.

Our team is seeking a Strategy Consulting Manager based in Stockholm to join our advisory practice. This role involves contributing to the development and implementation of high-impact projects for our clients in the N&B region. As part of your responsibilities, you will collaborate closely with our clients across various regions to deliver effective solutions. Your focus will be on initiating strategies that promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby solidifying Visa's position as both a preferred brand and an exceptional business partner.

Typical Projects May Include

• Supporting card issuers in expanding their presence and increasing market share in the consumer segment
• Developing go-to-market strategies for global merchants
• Helping credit card issuers leverage emerging technologies to acquire high-value customer
• Enabling retailers to deepen market and customer insights and drive incremental sales
• Optimizing revenue streams within financial institutions’ payments businesses

What we expect of you, day to day.

• Identify new opportunities with large banks, financial institutions, merchants, and other ecosystem players
• Develop solutions and actionable insights to support client portfolio growth
• Lead strategically important consulting engagements for key clients, delivering high-impact outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, solutions, marketing, risk, innovation, and product) and global counterparts to deliver comprehensive solutions that reflect the full breadth of Visa’s capabilities
• Engage proactively with VCA leadership in strategic planning discussions and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities with financial institution
• Deliver insights, analyses, and recommendations that enhance client performance, accelerate growth, and provide clear strategic direction across segments and verticals

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in management consulting or a similar role within banks or financial institutions.
• Problem solving ability with strategic focus on influencing ROI. Understanding of card issuers' P&L and critical factors in driving profitability a plus.
• Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills (especially by designing, building, and showcasing project results packages and delivery materials).
• Strong team orientation with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style and able to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
• Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently and work independently.
• Deep experience and a track record of high performance in large consulting firm or corporate strategy.
• Competence in using financial indicators to assess business performance, focusing heavily on return on investment.
• Ability to draw meaningful insights from both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Proficient in data-driven storytelling with effective data visualization, use data to improve project execution.
• Able to generate templates + storyboards (flow / structure), guide others, and ask questions to uncover new areas of analysis.
• Ability to take a problem statement and support crafting proposals with guidance from leadership, like competitive analysis.
