Job summary

Coalesce Management Consulting is supporting a leading automotive technology organisation to hire an experienced Automotive Software Release Manager responsible for leading OTA software updates across vehicle platforms in Europe and China.

This highly visible role sits at the heart of software delivery, collaborating with development, validation, cybersecurity, operations and product teams to ensure updates are released safely, compliantly and successfully.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in the automotive industry.
Background in software release management or technical programme management.
Experience with OTA updates and connected vehicle technologies.
Knowledge of SUMS, UNECE R156 and automotive cybersecurity standards.
Experience with cross-functional and international stakeholders.
Strong planning and stakeholder management; Agile experience with Jira.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end OTA release planning and deployment activities.
Define release scope, milestones, rollout strategies and deployment gates.
Coordinate software release activities across development, integration, validation, cybersecurity and operations teams.
Lead pilot deployments, phased rollouts and full-scale software releases.
Drive go/no-go decisions and release readiness reviews.
Monitor deployment performance, success rates and customer impact.
Identify and mitigate release risks and cybersecurity concerns.
Manage release blockers and cross-functional dependencies.
Ensure compliance with automotive software update and cybersecurity regulations.
