Job summary

Friday is seeking an Instrument Project Planner to lead planning and coordination of instrument-related work on a large-scale industrial project in Sweden. You will break down work orders, assess resources, define scope and ensure dependencies are identified, enabling procurement and execution.

In this role you’ll collaborate with electrical, mechanical, scaffolding and insulation disciplines, adapt to changing site conditions and maintain safety and quality throughout execution.

Qualifications

• Experience from major industrial projects or shutdowns.
• Strong planning and coordination of technical work.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and associated disciplines.
• Ability to work independently in a heavy process-based industry.
• Safety-focused and able to adapt to changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare instrument-related work orders and work packages.
• Develop technical work descriptions for procurement and execution.
• Ensure work packages are complete, accurate and executable.
• Assess work scope, resource requirements and technical dependencies.
• Coordinate supporting activities from disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, scaffolding and insulation.
• Ensure planned activities are incorporated into the overall project schedule.
• Coordinate contractors and assigned resources during execution.
• Follow progress and ensure work is performed according to applicable safety requirements.
• Replan and reprioritize activities when conditions change.
• Manage discovery work as well as changes and additional work identified during execution.
• Follow up completed work packages and coordinate handover for inspection and quality control.
• Provide technical support and problem-solving throughout execution.
