Job summary

Natixis Sweden Branch seeks an on-site Financial Controller to oversee the branch's financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance with Swedish and EU frameworks and alignment with Head Office objectives. Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant with proven track record in financial accounting, accounting control, and financial management within a banking or financial services environment.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of Swedish local regulatory requirements specific to an EU banking branch (SFSA).
• Extensive experience with Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) business lines and a deep understanding of financial products (e.g., derivatives, loans, capital markets instruments).
• Proven experience in managing the full cycle of financial reporting, from daily P&L to annual statutory accounts.
• Strong track record in tax reporting and compliance, including direct and indirect taxes, and familiarity with Pillar 2 and CbCR reporting frameworks.
• Experience with geographically dispersed business lines and complex control methodologies.
• Exceptional technical accounting and financial management skills.
• Advanced analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain robust, compliant, and accurate financial management for the branch, ensuring strict adherence to Swedish and EU regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee all daily financial operations, including transaction processing, reconciliation, and control activities.
• Engage in proactive and strategic financial planning to align with Head Office objectives and reporting requirements.
• Ensure timely production of daily P&L statements with variance analysis and risk/opportunity identification.
• Generate MI related to revenue, portfolio activities, and KPIs with insightful commentary.
• Drive automation opportunities within financial processes.
• Lead regulatory reporting, including annual and quarterly group accounts and balance sheet control for the Swedish branch.
• Manage tax compliance: corporation tax, VAT, Pillar 2, and CbCr.
