Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a strategic Category Manager for HVDC high-voltage equipment to own category strategies, lead supplier relationships, and support tender activities across global HVDC projects.

You will work at the intersection of Supply Chain, Sales, Engineering, and Project Management in a multicultural environment, leveraging market intelligence and data-driven decisions to drive growth, supply security, and competitive advantage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Experience in supply chain management and category management.
Experience with high-voltage products and systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement category strategies aligned with growth, technology roadmaps, and market developments.
Develop and maintain a long-term category roadmap aligned with priorities.
Build and manage supplier relationships to secure capacity, innovation, quality and competitiveness.
Support commercial and tendering activities through market intelligence and cost analysis.
Drive supplier involvement and leverage supplier capabilities for technology and business objectives.
Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and business reviews to maximize value.
