Job summary

Functional Software Stockholm AB is seeking a Platform Engineer to own a scalable, secure platform and work closely with product, design, and engineering to shape technology and product direction.

You will influence early-stage development, improve developer experience, and set high standards for code quality, monitoring, and security while working in our centrally located Stockholm office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or full-stack experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Good understanding of Node.js and its concurrency model.
• Experience designing scalable systems.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Strong programming fundamentals with maintainable, high-quality code.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Must be in office five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve a scalable, secure platform used by the product and engineering teams.
• Improve developer experience and ship end-user features quickly.
• Reduce technical debt and uphold high standards for code quality, monitoring, and security.
• Help define how engineering works in an early-stage company.
