Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Staff Product Designer - Growth (Onboarding) to own and elevate first-touch experiences from account creation to initial product access. You will shape onboarding flows, identity verification, and activation metrics in a fast-growing, remote-first environment.

You will lead across teams, mentor designers, and influence product direction with data-driven insights and strong design judgment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience delivering end-to-end product design.
• Staff-level product judgment and independent direction across complex areas.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency and trading is preferred.
• Data-informed approach with experimentation and A/B testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead design across onboarding and first-time user experiences.
• Define onboarding strategy including identity verification and account setup.
• Own large, ambiguous product challenges spanning multiple teams and compliance.
• Shape Kraken’s design language for consistency across onboarding surfaces.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, research, and compliance to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Mentor designers and raise craft standards through critique.
