Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead complex onboarding design, owning end-to-end experiences for access to Kraken products.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, collaboration with product, design, data, and engineering, and a strong emphasis on user-centered outcomes.

Candidates should have 5+ years in product design, a mobile-focused portfolio, and comfort with a fast-growing remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience delivering end-to-end product design, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality mobile app work.
• Experience working with KYC in compliance-heavy industries.
• Strong UX and visual design skills, with the ability to take on challenging problems and deliver thoughtful, user-centered solutions.
• Data-informed approach using both quantitative and qualitative data, experience with A/B testing and experimentation as well as being impact driven.
• Balanced approach to design decisions considering user insights, business needs, and technical feasibility.
• Knowledge of prototyping tools and techniques, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
• Comfortable taking ownership of high-impact features or projects while collaborating closely with peers and cross-functional partners.
• Open-minded and collaborative, with an eagerness to learn from feedback and iterate on designs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and align with stakeholders.
• Strong familiarity with human-centered design principles and research methods, and a willingness to apply them to improve outcomes.
• Ability to present and defend design decisions confidently to both peers and non-design audiences.
• A bias to action in a fast-growing, remote-first org.
• Knowledge of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and trading is a plus, but not required.
