Job summary

AeroVect Technologies Inc. seeks a Staff Software Engineer to design and build leading planning systems for autonomous ground support equipment in airport environments.

You will own mission, behavior, and motion planning, shaping a production-grade stack that integrates with perception, controls, and localization. You will drive architectural decisions, prototype advanced planning methods, and mentor junior engineers while advancing safety-focused software practices in a Robotics-as-a-Service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Physics or related field.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing planning modules for autonomous systems in production or real-world ops.
• Strong programming in C++ (preferred) or Python; Linux proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and iterate mission, behavior, and motion planners for autonomous ground support equipment at airside environments.
• Drive technical decisions across the planning stack, interfaces, and architecture.
• Prototype and evaluate new planning approaches and bring best ideas to production.
• Collaborate with perception, controls, localization, and systems engineering to deliver integrated autonomous system.
• Establish and promote best practices in software development, safety, and systems engineering for planning domain.
• Mentor other engineers via guidance, code reviews, and design discussions.
