Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Solution Design Engineer to establish Contract Logistics capabilities across Europe. This fully office-based role requires on-site presence five days a week at the Göteborg location, focusing on designing warehousing solutions, layouts, resource calculations, IT requirements, and end-to-end processes to support large-scale opportunities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in International Supply Chains with strong understanding of the value drivers of supply chain and how that can help customers deliver value to their business.
• Numerate, financially astute and analytical with strong knowledge of Logistics processes and solution design outlines and methodologies.
• Solid technology skills that include a comprehensive understanding of WMS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design warehousing solutions including layouts, resource calculations, IT requirements and operational processes and flows, and estimate costs in line with HSSE requirements.
• Develop new logistics concepts and value propositions based on identified best technical and organizational solutions.
• Coordinate with commercial, solutions, pricing and operations teams to ensure viability and procurement of the designed solutions.

You will be a key driver for growth using your operational experience and strong analytical approach to act as the subject matter expert on designing and solutioning warehouse/cold store proposals supporting the local sales organizations to win large scale opportunities.This is a fully office-based role, requiring on-site presence five days per week at the advertised location.What you'll be doingIn support of customer proposals you will be involved with the design of warehousing solutions including lay-outs, resource calculations, IT requirements, operational processes and flows, costs and in accordance with HSSE requirements.You will develop and prepare new logistics concepts and value propositions based on identified best technical and organizational solutions.Your area-accountable for the value propositions which are sold are fully scoped with robust pre- and post-sales engagement and commitment from commercial, solutions, pricing and operational pursuit team members. Engage pro-actively in the sales process for contract logistics opportunities, to act the subject matter expert and technical support to area sales safe-guarding operational viability of the solutions sold.Build market and product knowledge and ensure this information is shared with all relevant stakeholders, sales and colleagues in the wider business. Act as a centre of excellence adopting and sharing best practices with the solution design community across Europe.What you bringSignificant experience in International Supply Chains with strong understanding of the value drivers of supply chain and how that can help customers deliver value to their businessFocused on customer needs and have a data data driven approach with the ability to analyse and make the translation into appropriate solutions and actions plans.Strong Contract Logistics operational background and understanding, incl. extensive knowledge of technologies that support warehousing processes with proven pan European vertical specific understanding on trade / regulatory / statutory and security compliance requirements and technological solutions.Numerate, financially astute and analytical with strong knowledge of Logistics processes and solution design outlines and methodologies,Solid technology skills that include a comprehensive understanding of WMS requirements.Enjoys collaboration and with proven track record in a matrix, multi-cultural organisation, building strong relationships and networks both locally and internationally.Agile and self-starter Strong that enjoys working in a high pace and versatile environment.Strong experience of AutoCAD and MTM (Methods-Time Measurement)Ready to join us?Bring your expertise, your curiosity, and your ambition.
