Qualifications

We’ve recently moved into a creative, historic space in Varvsstaden, Malmö, and we are looking for a software engineer with focus on AI to help build the next generation of our AI-native platform.

The Role

This isn't a role for someone who just hooks up a basic OpenAI API wrapper. You will be architecting the complex cognitive systems that power Lightbringer.

As our AI Engineer, you will build the orchestration layer of our platform. You will design multi-agent AI systems that can ingest highly technical invention disclosures, reason through complex legal frameworks, search global patent databases, and generate precise, legally sound documentation. You will collaborate closely with other developers and patent professionals to turn state-of-the-art AI capabilities into deterministic, production-ready features.

Responsibilities

• Architect Agentic Workflows: Design, implement, and maintain advanced multi-agent systems and LLM chains capable of executing long-running, complex reasoning tasks.
• Optimize for Accuracy & Determinism: Overcome the inherent challenges of LLMs (hallucinations, formatting drift) to ensure our AI outputs meet the rigorous structural and legal standards required for patent filings.
• Model Evaluation & Tooling: Establish robust benchmarking, evaluation metrics, and guardrails to continuously measure and improve model performance, latency, and cost-efficiency.
• Stay on the Bleeding Edge: Rapidly prototype and evaluate new foundational models, open-source frameworks, and embedding techniques to keep Lightbringer at the absolute forefront of LegalTech AI.

Qualifications

• Production AI Experience: You have a proven track record of shipping LLM-powered applications into production, deeply understanding the nuances of prompt engineering, semantic search, and context window management.
• Strong Software Engineering Fundamentals: You write clean, modular, and maintainable code (primarily Python) and understand how to integrate AI services into a broader SaaS architecture.
• Problem Solver: You love digging into complex, abstract problems. Legal tech and patent law are highly structural—you excel at converting this rigid logic into programmatic AI guardrails.
• Startup Mindset: You are self-driven, comfortable with rapid iteration, and excited to have a massive, visible impact on the core company product.
